Was Timothy Curry Shot to Coverup Police Mistakes? On Feb. 19, 2001, Timothy Curry was showing signs of depression and refused to leave the basement of his home. His cousin called the police to help her coax him upstairs in hopes of getting him help. Little did she know, her attempt to help her cousin would leave him with 10 bullets in his back.
